RILSON GASKET
Ningbo Rilson Sealing Material Co., Ltd is dedicated to ensuring the secure and dependable operation of fluid sealing systems, offering clients the appropriate sealing technology solutions.
1. Multi-pass sealing and dynamic adaptability
Spiral wound gaskets are made of V-shaped or W-shaped metal belts and non-metallic filling materials that are alternately spirally wound. The raised structure of the metal belt produces a spring-like rebound force, which can compensate for the displacement of the flange caused by temperature, pressure fluctuations or mechanical vibrations, and maintain the stability of the contact pressure of the sealing surface. This design makes the gasket's sealing reliability in frequent thermal cycles or vibration scenarios significantly better than that of ordinary rubber gaskets. The alternately wound metal belt and filling material form multiple concentric sealing rings. Even if a single layer is damaged, the remaining structure can still maintain the seal and reduce the risk of leakage.
2. Adaptability to special working conditions
The material combination of spiral wound gaskets can cover special temperature ranges. Standard spiral wound gaskets can withstand a pressure of ≤25MPa, and nuclear-grade gaskets can even reach 30MPa. By adjusting the metal belt and filling material, it can adapt to the corrosive environment of strong acid, strong alkali or chlorine-containing media.
3. Economical and convenient maintenance
Compared with pure metal gaskets, spiral wound gaskets reduce costs by reducing the amount of precious metals while maintaining high performance. Under normal working conditions, the life of spiral wound gaskets can reach more than 10 years, far exceeding the 2-3 years of rubber gaskets. If a slight leak occurs, the sealing can be restored by re-tightening the bolts without stopping the machine for replacement.
